The toilet bowl that was included as standard with us, nobody wanted it even as a gift. Despite assurances that it was unused and therefore without signs of use. And taking it along for the moving party (of course, it is porcelain) and hurting yourself in the process, I find that a bit cheeky...

That's how I would do it, unless some really awesome base cabinets or similar are supposed to be installed.

With plumbing, I found that I wanted everything: nice, extra nice, and especially nice. Preferably not too expensive. But actually, once the plumbing is installed, it kind of gets ignored. Looking back now, I probably shouldn’t have made such a big fuss about it. It only caused stress and was an expensive upgrade.

For me, the tiles dress the bathroom. I didn’t make any compromises there and still think that was a good decision. The furniture is, in my opinion, secondary. Normal looks good enough too, I’ve seen that at the neighbors.

In the Polish hardware store, exactly 64 washbasins were hanging on a sample wall during my private inspection.

I then bought my sanitary articles in Croatia. Everything from Grohe in a wholesale store. 2 large floors just faucets.
The price about one third of the German price.

The vacation paid for itself there. A built-in washbasin cost about 200 euros here. Bought in Croatia for 35 euros. exactly the same.

Even in Italy, you can get the most beautiful sanitary articles significantly cheaper than in Germany. Above all, much nicer things.

You just have to think outside the box.
