Hello, We need to decide on doors soon. At the moment, we would like flush white lacquered doors from KTM, the Cube model. They are of course not cheap. We are now wondering whether it really makes sense to install them in the basement as well. Our basement is not living space, but fully tiled and properly plastered and filled Wu basement. How did you handle it in your new construction, all the same or different doors? The dealers we visited naturally recommend staying within the same system for the sake of appearance. Regards

Visually, these are the doors of your choice and certainly also nice in the basement. The question is about the total additional cost of this decision and whether it is worth it to you or if you might be able to afford something else by saving. If it is just a basement, I wouldn't do it if it should be quite expensive.

What additional costs compared to veneered doors are we talking about? Then I can tell you whether I would do it or not!

What kind of styling queen are you, wanting to have the same door design in the basement as on the living floors, do you also have a leather-covered spare wheel well in your car?

There are 3 cellar doors and the additional cost would be about 300€ per door. It’s not really about the money for me, but rather whether lacquered doors are not too sensitive for a utility cellar. You also store and handle things there that have no place in the living area.

Well then. You do have a direction. Cheaper cellar doors.
