Can someone tell me more about the topic "construction stairs"? Today, the construction stairs were installed at our place (will later be a landing staircase) and I am already dying a thousand deaths just looking at it. What requirements actually apply to construction stairs? Are they really safe? The problem is, we are building with a basement (which is accessed by a concrete staircase) and now a spiral staircase is basically attached to the ground floor and upper floor ceiling with a total of 4 screws. Apart from the fact that we can't get furniture up like this, I'm so scared that I still can't go up. Can someone confirm how safe such a freely "hanging" staircase is?! Are there other solutions for landing staircases?

No idea how safe that is. But it will serve its purpose until you get your stairs. Or do you want to put your furniture in the shell construction? Be glad that you have stairs and not just a ladder

My wife and I also have a problem with heights, but when you go up and down almost every day, you get used to it. We had a scaffold with a ladder.

In this case, it wouldn’t really matter whether it’s a construction staircase or a ladder - if I don’t dare to go up... And since I have to check the work, partially coordinate and of course plan, it’s that difficult. Besides, the wooden stairs should actually be installed last in the house - so also after the furniture...

Dare yourself. It will be fine. In the end, I painted the ceiling and walls in the stairwell with a long ladder before the stairs came in. (however, we do not have a basement staircase underneath) We already had the stairs in for the move, but completely padded with painter's fleece and cardboard.

You will have to tough it out.
What will you do when you want to inspect the work on the/at the roof...
