Unfortunately, I did not find a suitable topic. Let's assume a house has 2 floors. Ground floor and upper floor. What disadvantages are there besides costs if the bathroom is not directly above the utility room? But for example 2 rooms further away.

It depends. Costs are probably negligible, but the drain runs through the living space at Lindenallee. -> Noises, weird feeling. Also, it might take a few seconds longer for the water to come warm through the pipe.

I do not know the exact structure of Gussek Haus but: Staggered bathrooms are more complex. You need a certain slope in the wastewater pipes. This means the ceiling structure becomes thicker. Whether the pipes run in the concrete ceiling or the ceiling is suspended. Therefore additional costs because you have to build higher to maintain the same room height. Whether noise becomes an issue depends on the ceiling structure and the pipes used. Highly noise-reducing pipes also cost more. Done correctly, there are no disadvantages. We also have staggered bathrooms and offset floors. Hot water is generally not a problem. In the worst case, circulation helps. With the size of the Lindenallee, this should not yet be a challenge.

In the bathroom itself, yes, but it should be independent of the utility room. Nope.

I assume that the drainage pipe also runs through the utility room and/or a sink or utility basin is still planned there. and then you just let the pipe stick out of the floor/ceiling? An extra 1-2 meters is still okay, but after that it becomes a problem. The pipe has to go somewhere. We know this from our own construction. Then the ceiling structure becomes thicker or you have to lower the ceiling. In any case, the house has to be a bit higher to maintain the room height.

The drain and its contents go directly outside according to the drainage plan. Regardless of the utility room. I can't say anything about that either.
