Thank you for your answer. No, it is a new building. As far as I can see, it is not that simple for me because this – as far as I understand – is a "two-wire thermostat." As I understand it, the circuit only closes (and switches the valve) when the bimetal closes the circuit.

Well, in the long term, the plan would be to get an air conditioner as well. With the smart thermostat mentioned above, I could then run both heating and cooling through one thermostat. And about adjusting it: My girlfriend sees it differently and likes to turn it higher sometimes – even though I agree with you, it does take a while :D

Well, that’s rather not going to work the way you imagine... especially not with the so-called "smart thermostats," meaning not without an overall concept and suitable devices.
