Dear community,

I have a question regarding my room thermostat, which I would like to replace with a "smart version" (app-controlled version).

Currently, I have an Uponor T-35 as a room thermostat (to be exact, three of them - living room, bedroom, bathroom). I would like to replace this (at least the one in the living room) with a (smart) thermostat, e.g. an Ecobee thermostat.

Since I have no knowledge of this myself (as a lawyer ;)), I naturally refrain from attempting the replacement myself. Therefore, I am only interested in finding out whether a replacement is possible and what I would need for it. In other words: I would order the necessary parts and then have an expert install them.

Could someone perhaps briefly explain to me whether a replacement is possible and ideally even name the necessary components?

Many thanks in advance!

Best regards from Vienna Clemens

PS: If this topic is better placed in the forum "Heizung / Klima," I apologize!

What do you need these for, an old building? Normally you only have to rewire two cables or am I misunderstanding something? In new buildings, these things are useless anyway and always out of order.

Since you have to call in a professional anyway, have them also procure the necessary equipment. Because then they are definitely easier to find and commission, as they are better familiar with what they install, among other things. Instead of installing something from the customer.

With underfloor heating, the temperature is usually not adjusted because it is so slow to respond. Therefore, in my view, a smart control makes no sense.
