Hi,
maybe someone here can help us or give a reliable answer:
We have been living in a condominium built in 1996 since 2006.
Since the roof windows – especially in the bathroom – are pretty much worn out (partly affected by mold), we wanted to have them replaced now. That’s why we visited our Sparkasse advisor last week regarding a KfW loan for the renovation.
He told us that this program no longer exists, but only a program that requires an energy consultant/expert. Furthermore, one would be rated so highly by a score from the Sparkasse (huh, why... I thought I want the one from the KfW) that the financing interest rates would be just as high as with a normal Sparkasse loan (so not the <2% of a KfW loan).
Now I called the KfW again today, and they confirmed to me that there is a program (152) for a replacement and that only (if an energy consultant is involved) the interest rates stated on the website (between 1 and 2%) would apply – so no surcharge.
Therefore, I also called an energy consultant who would initially come out for €60 and would charge 2.5% of the total amount upon carrying out the renovation measure. However, the action can only be processed via the KfW if the roof insulation is not worse than the roof window and the roof window has a U-value of at least 1. Also, there is a limit for new roof windows from 1995 – but he wanted to look into that again.
Now I have a lot of information, but no one can really give me an exact answer.
Maybe someone here knows more about it. Thanks in advance for tips & advice.
