Apart from the fact that the variant of truss construction instead of rafters is cheaper (but unfortunately more suitable for a "lid" than for usable attic space), one can roughly say that more ridges or more hips make the roof structure more complex (ditto dormers etc.). As far as covering is concerned, some roof tiles can only be used up to about 20...22° pitch, and with an even flatter slope, you have to use others.
So far I can follow you.
With a half-hip Mansard roof with bat dormers on a ragged angled floor plan, one would shoot the bird both taste-wise and price-wise ;-)
No idea what that is supposed to be.
