In the color anthracite, we would have to pay about 800,- EUR.

Does anyone here see disadvantages of plastic roof soffits (vs wood), apart from the "look"?

We have been recommended plastic. However, we have decided to leave the roof eaves "not specially treated" and open. "Plastic" (the correct term is: Kunststoff) can also yellow after years, etc. Then it is just as easy or difficult to paint.

With us, plastic was also included in the construction service description, therefore no additional cost

For the cost estimation plastic: We paid 1,100 net for a house 12x9.5 m. And not as an additional charge! Your additional charge is already twice as high.
