roof truss construction

That was just an example, I am not fixed on a trussed roof or anything like that. Somehow I actually prefer roof constructions like the one shown in the picture I provided above. Based on your statements, I assume that a trussed roof used to be more cost-effective, but that has more or less evened out now? And a trussed roof costs about the same as such a purlin roof frame?

Can you give an approximate difference in price? Just so one has an idea. Surely it also depends on the region, but it is meant only as a rough idea. Maybe the difference is so big that it doesn't fit into the budget anymore. We don't want to expand upstairs anyway, but for storage, a purlin roof construction would be much, much better than having all the wooden braces with a binder roof.

okay, my information would be that the purlin roof is more expensive. However, as you already say, it is actually without alternative.

That is one of the points I only understood when I saw it finished. (No one told me before and since I was not familiar with the truss roof, I was not aware that the roof structure should be questioned.)
