The roofer is not wrong, because the moisture protection proof can only be calculated with special programs, while the thermal protection proof often only requires a standard proof according to Glaser.

Double GK for two reasons: the GK is installed on a movable (pressure/suction forces) wooden construction and also for ventilation to protect against summer heat.

So I just calculated 200mm between rafters and 100mm over rafters. Including vapor barrier on the room side and gypsum board. Outside underlay membrane. There were no problems.

Or have I misunderstood something now?

The description text for the vapor barrier says to me that it is better not to use it, as there will be leaks anyway, and then the drying will no longer work.

If anything, one would use a vapor retarder, not a barrier. But my nephew, a carpenter by trade, thinks highly of this climate membrane and recommended it to us despite the extra cost. Whether you spend 45 or 85 euros on foil doesn't matter much with a total of 1500 euros anyway. The processing of both foils is identical. Tightness is the be-all and end-all. Seamlessly tight. We taped the membrane overlaps with tape, glued the foil to floors and walls with the mud. The mud sets quickly and sticks very well, the tape is devilish stuff, once contact is made, it’s stuck.

Which foil did you use exactly?
