We have a flat 23-degree gable roof with drainage via a drip flashing. That means the underlayment drains over a drip flashing and everything flows over the roof tiles into the gutter. It is a cold roof.
1. How problematic is it if a photovoltaic system is installed later? Water that gets onto the underlayment through the connections/roof tiles.
2. How problematic is it for the facade, since the water drips off uncontrollably? Condensation and sweating water or snow masses in winter that come through the roof tiles and are blown against the facade by the wind. (2 full stories)
3. Are there negative experiences regarding a terrace – meaning water from the drip flashing frequently running onto the facade?
4. Should you generally drain into the gutter from a certain roof size since automatically more water accumulates?
5. Am I worrying too much?
The used roof tile has a standard pitch of 22 degrees.
Does the drip flashing have to be explicitly listed in the construction and performance description? The general contractor just did it, and I would have wished to be asked beforehand.
