For our offer, for example, 1,700 EUR gross surcharge for 15 window elements.

Hello, with us the surcharge is similar... I think around €1,500, but we also partly get venetian blinds, which are made of aluminum anyway.

We are also facing the decision. Our construction supervisor recommends aluminum. Before, we hadn't given it any thought. How did you decide and why?

We took aluminum because of the heat but also because it makes it a bit harder for burglars to cut the slats with a box cutter.

I think that not much will be cut; regarding burglar protection, roller shutters for private households offer little. They are simply pulled out of the guide.

The other benefits concerning heat may be true, but personally, they were not worth the extra cost to me.

Where one should especially invest well against heat in new buildings. And if the surcharge from PVC to aluminum, as with , is really only about 1.7k, one could consider that as within the acceptable range?
