Hello,

That is at most a stupid statement from salespeople who in my opinion shouldn’t even hold this title!

That, on the other hand, cannot be true; maybe superficially, but under no circumstances will the screed have dried through in this time. Not even with massive addition of chemicals.

Rhenish greetings

Hello,

Not so uncommon, but I dare say that these former homeowners are to blame for their own suffering.

Especially in NRW, there are many regions where open-cast mining pumps out groundwater and thus a seemingly “constant” groundwater level can be found. However, in all building permits, there is a corresponding note in the textual conditions that it cannot be ruled out that the groundwater level can rise again. The operators of the open-cast mines are not stupid and have protected themselves against any risks; at all times. Whoever then trusts to save money by not using a waterproof basement wall construction cannot be helped or advised.

You are mixing two fundamental things here. First, a prefab house is by no means worse than a solidly built house – in the end it is always an intuitive decision for a proven system. And second, as a builder you must not be resistant to advice. If your planner/provider informs you about the geological conditions of the building ground, he will usually also make recommendations. If you ignore these – with regard to changes in the supposedly distant future – you cannot be helped or advised either.

Rhenish regards
