Hello everyone,

We will start building our dream house in a few weeks. However, a relatively large amount of excavated soil, mainly clay, will be generated during the foundation work. Attached is a picture of the bore profile.

We had the soil analyzed as part of the ground survey. According to this, almost all components were classified as Z 0 regarding LAGA. The exception is the measured value for PAHs. This was classified as Z1.1 with 1.6 mg/kg (allowable for Z 0 = 1 mg/kg).

We have a relatively large plot (approx. 1400 m²) and it is located about 0.5 m below street level at the rear area.

The question is whether we have to dispose of the excavated soil or if we can use it on the property, for example, for leveling the rear area.

Thank you very much in advance for your support.

Uwe

Everything you excavate from the ground on your property may also be left there and used for modeling, for example (as long as you comply with the requirements regarding maximum fill). It is probably not suitable for backfilling but excellent for leveling. Disposal at Z0 is not that expensive either. Your plan works out. Good luck with the construction.

Distributing on the property works great. Make sure that the excavator operators do not compact the entire area for you so that the garden splendor grows better later.

Nothing grows on clay soil, please take this into account when filling.

Of course, topsoil still needs to be added on top, 30-40cm

Yay now he has saved a whole 10cm x plot area of excavation if only grass is to be put there 15cm is also possible, or improve the clay beforehand with sand and lime.
