Hi, I have no personal experience, but I have seen something like this in a holiday apartment. This extractor hood was installed behind the kitchen island. Everything worked perfectly and the landlord was also thrilled. BG

Hi, is there somehow a photo or something similar of it, because that sounds very interesting :) I also want to change something a bit and a retractable kitchen extractor would be a nice thing, because that box in the kitchen already bothers me :)

Hello, I do not have it either but my sister does. However, she now lives several kilometers away from me and therefore I cannot provide a picture at the moment. My sister has a kitchen island that is freestanding and about 3 meters long. She now has a retractable range hood. In my opinion, that is gimmickry and she can no longer cook from all sides. Regards.

I think a [Dunstabzugshaube] on the ceiling has quite a few good functions. It removes the rising steam and also grease. Why do I need a kitchen island if I can't work on all sides, especially when several people are cooking?
