Hello everyone,
after having done many things myself in our semi-detached house, I now wanted to replace a basement window. The current window is made of wood and is quite shabby. According to the instructions, it seems pretty simple, but I have a problem:
A cable goes out of the house through the window, is attached directly behind the window to a kind of metal clamp, and from this metal clamp another cable goes back through the window. After doing some research, this should be the foundation earth (?). My question now is: Is that correct? And how should I deal with it? Am I allowed to simply disconnect the two cables for the window replacement? Attached are two photos.
Thanks in advance!
Best regards, Marius
