Hello first of all :-) The following situation. We have taken out financing for 10 years at 0.96%. It has already been running for a year. Repayment will begin next month. Since we have planned special repayments, but interest rates are rising, I am wondering what other options there are for risk-averse people. I am looking for a way to invest 5,000-10,000 € each year and earn more per annum than the interest I pay.

For fixed-term deposits, various banks promise 1.5%. Whether you trust these banks, I cannot tell you.

But fixed deposit means, for example, depositing €10,000 and leaving it for about 5 years, right? I would like to have an option to, for example, deposit €500 monthly or variable amounts.

You can open several fixed-term deposits. I also think that in the medium term you will get more interest from reputable banks than you pay. But don't forget that the withholding tax is still due on this, so you need significantly more than 1% interest.

the question will rather be: will the financing be paid off in 9 years? That is, fully paid? What about the outstanding debt? Small amount = can be ignored large amount = can you still afford it when interest rates are at 5% (even if that is unlikely)? Currently, the economy is going down, so are stocks, ETFs etc. That means it’s probably not that easy to find something good (although from a 9-year perspective you can buy blindly, because you should be able to make 3-6% easily).

The remaining amount will be at most €300,000. In the most pessimistic case, it is likely to be a 50% financing. I do not assume 5% interest. And even if so, the €15,000 interest (declining) should not be a problem, even with today's salary.
