Repair scratches and defects on PVC flooring

I rent my apartment and over the years numerous deep scratches and damaged spots have appeared on my PVC floor. It is especially bad in the area of the desk, where I roll my chair back and forth. The floor was laid in one piece; when I move out, do I have to replace the entire covering, or is it technically possible to renew only individual sections? Are there any other ways to smooth out scratches on PVC floors?

No, if the floor is made from one piece, the landlord will insist on renewing the entire PVC floor. I don't like this floor either. Scratches and damaged spots appear quickly here.
