Hello, I am currently busy renovating our wastewater pipe. I have exposed the basement wall and removed defective clay pipes. A defective cast iron wall sleeve is still in place. A self-made inspection shaft is located about 5 meters away. Question 1. The pipe from the house ran with 2 bends because the inspection shaft is not directly in front of the house. Are these 2 bends unproblematic? (There is a slope). Question 2. How should I set up the house wall connection? Which pipe and which seal? Question 3. Must there always be a downpipe? What specialist literature can one consult for this type of trade? Thank you

So for such a trivial problem you certainly don't need specialist literature. Arches are always critical but 45 degrees is acceptable. The slope should be about 2%, no more! If you have pressing water at the house (and only then) you need a so-called ring space seal, e.g. from Doyma. If you have a filter layer with drainage, a simple pipe from the wall sealed with the cellar is sufficient. Pipes are generally DN 100. I admit I did not understand the question about the downpipe, maybe phrase it differently.

Thank you Vicky Pedia,

I will measure it to see if I can manage with 2 x 45°. Admittedly, I thought it was important to mention the drainpipe. It is currently about 2 meters long and could be shortened if the 2% slope of the external bend is not sufficient? (short written sketch: 1st drainpipe - connects to the defective 2nd cast iron pipe outside, then 3. 2 bends to the inspection shaft) Therefore the question whether it is necessary to have one like this. Since I am a bit unsure which trade / craftsman is suitable for such work? Does a plumber not stop at the house wall? Greetings

Hi

Main lines outside of buildings are usually installed by the civil engineer.
Most wastewater disposal companies require pipes outside in DN 125.
The old DIN 1986 still specified a 2% slope.
In the newer DIN EN I don't know offhand, 0.5% is mentioned.
