Hello,
we want to remove the tiles in our bathroom. The tiles in the shower area are rather unproblematic, but the tiles on the [Vorwandkonstruktion] are more so (about 4.5 m2). I have read so much in forums that it is very difficult or even impossible to remove the existing tiles from the drywall (without damaging the gypsum boards).
Is it better to lay tile on tile in this area? Certainly, there will be problems with deep sockets, fittings, etc., but the tiles underneath will remain. I am not entirely sure about the adhesion.
Or should we try to remove them anyway and then fill the walls? We do not necessarily want to remove the entire gypsum board.
Thank you.
