Remove IKEA Alvine Spets curtain care label

Hello everyone!

I am currently facing a problem that is driving me almost crazy.

Two days ago, I bought the ALVINE Spets curtain at Ikea and wanted to happily hang it up - but had to find out that the washing instructions / care label is sewn into the curtain hem.

How do I remove this label from the IKEA Alvine Spets without having to undo the seam?
Of course, I have emailed Ikea but have not yet received a response.

Hi,

with a nail scissors or a craft scalpel you should be able to cut it out without damaging the seam. But it’s actually supposed to stay on anyway so you always know what to watch out for when washing. ;)

Yes, it is clear that the label should stay on so that I know how to wash the curtain. But the spot where the label is attached is visible at the top of the tunnel hem. It is a huge white tag, half hanging inside the tunnel hem. About 8cm long and wide. And the curtain is more like a fly screen :D

When I picked out the curtain (in my Ikea), the label was removed and the curtain was hanging there without the annoying label.

You really can’t hang the curtain with this tag!

I have also already called Ikea customer service. The lady was very nice and helpful – but had never heard of this problem before. She advised me to take the curtain to my local Ikea and show it there, because where the label is sewn on is totally "pointless". :D

Did I perhaps get a "Monday curtain"?? :confused:

So, I was quite brave and cut out the label with the nail scissors. :D

Ikea also replied and recommended exactly this to me. ;)
