Then theoretically it could work with the iron, but it’s not easy. You really have to be careful that it doesn’t end up looking worse.

That seems harmless, eding would try it, thought it was rough and frayed.

In my opinion, the structure of the surface is "worn off" and that cannot be undone. In any case, melting it won't improve it for sure. I think this is a case of: "whatever ... I'll leave it as it is now" :cool:
