Recommendation - Homeowners Insurance Package

Hello experts and home builders,

we want to build next spring and are looking for affordable insurance packages. Does it make sense if I

-builder's liability insurance
-construction all-risk insurance
-fire shell construction insurance
-construction helper insurance (since a lot of work with friends is planned)
-construction legal protection insurance (offered by Sparkasse for 5 years)

take them as a package or should I rather compare and take out each separately?

Does anyone know good insurances that offer this as a package?

Who has good experiences?

So the construction performance insurance is integrated into our contract with the developer. So if you are also building with a developer, just ask. Maybe they pay for it too, like in our case. Otherwise, we have a builder’s liability insurance with Ergo, formerly Viktoria, for about 150 euros. It’s also a matter of trust because I have known the insurance agent for a very long time and feel well taken care of. The value of the house, of course, also plays a role.

You won’t have any other choice but to compare.

Yesterday also received an offer from Debeka for 150 euros. In the ancillary construction costs from Bauexperte, that is the upper limit of the assumed value, although it also depends on the value of the house or the own contributions. Personally, I would conclude there. Find it okay.

Would find a complete insurance package more reasonable as well.

Some insurance policies are also included in the [Werkvertrag]. One should read the [Baurechtsschutzbedingungen] carefully. If I remember correctly, many risks were very limited and only things like initial consultation or attorney fees up to a maximum of ... were included.

Googlet the Verband Wohneigentum. The membership there costs 19 euros per year (!) for us. Included is, for example, a builder’s liability insurance, as well as legal protection for house and land ownership.

Debeka: 560 euros
Provinzial: 440 euros
R+V: 305 euros

Construction helpers are, as far as I know, also automatically insured through the BG.

Oh yes: [Feuerrohbau] is usually included free of charge when concluding a residential building insurance.
