Recamiere on Ikea Karlstad 2-seater sofa

I own a 2-seater Karlstad genuine leather sofa, purchased in 2009. For months I have been searching for an attached chaise lounge, which Ikea no longer offers. Now I have found a used one online. It was also purchased in 2009.

Question: do all chaise lounges fit the Karlstad sofa? The model designation on the invoice of the chaise lounge I found online is "Karlstad Reca freist". Does this "freist" mean that this chaise lounge is only freestanding and therefore cannot be connected to the sofa?

Hello, I can only tell you that back then an [Anbaurecamiere] and a freestanding [Recamiere] were sold. Maybe the one for attaching has holes in the upholstery so that it can be screwed on.
