Hello everyone,

I would be interested to know if the calculation for a soil replacement (filled soil) is realistic:

Facts: 8.7 m * 9.7 m * 0.9 m = 76 cubic meters * 2.25 = 171 tons soil replacement with mineral mixture 0/32

Cost mineral mixture: 171 tons * 28.15 EUR including installation and compaction = 4,813 EUR

Cost soil excavation: 76 cubic meters * 25 EUR = 1,900 EUR

Is this calculation realistic?

The excavated soil will be used on the property to level out unevenness.

Thank you!

1cbm "Sand" corresponds to about 1.8 tons. Additionally, there is some compaction, so the factor 2.25 is already realistic.

I find the prices really huge and in some cases really high.

our prices from 2015:

topsoil excavation and excavation stored on site: 2.5€/sqm

filling sand for house construction, installed and compacted: 10.75€/sqm

prices each net.

I have currently bought 40 tons of mineral concrete 0-38 for the terrace and the driveway for 500 euros plus 3x60 delivery.

I find your prices okay or what alternatives do you have?

With you, the excavator and the vibrating plate plus the working hours are included.

Well, it is not yet certain whether the filled soil needs to be replaced. Next week, an attempt will be made to compact the soil. If this does not work, it will be replaced. I assumed that this would be done with mineral mixture 0/32. I also have the prices for this, as my contract includes 30 cm of clean layer made of mineral mixture 0/32 under the floor slab. Yes, exactly, everything is included in the prices.

@ Payday: Could it be that your measurement for the filling sand is supposed to mean ton?

It actually says exactly that. 1m³ of your 0/32 weighs about 1.8 tons. This results in the large factor of 2.25.
