Hello everyone,
I am currently looking for the best way to route the water pipe, electricity, and control lines between our planned rainwater cistern (and possibly an additional well) and the domestic water system in the garage and, of course, from the domestic water system to the irrigation circuits through the garage floor slab. The whole thing is still in the planning phase, so there is freedom in design.
So far, I have only ever seen wall penetrations for basements, but I did not want to build a basemented garage ;).
Question: Do I have to make it pressure water-tight? According to the soil report, the groundwater is normally 2m below ground level, with a maximum groundwater level expected at about 0.8m below ground level. The groundwater is unconfined, so without pressure.
Is it sufficient to embed one (or multiple, depending on the required number) KG pipe(s) vertically into the floor slab, with an appropriate bend to go horizontal (at about 0.8m below ground level) and then loosely pull the individual PE pipes for irrigation circuits and supplies from the cistern and well through it and foam the KG pipe?
