Good morning,

in urgent need of help, I ended up here in the forum. I need help... urgently. Yesterday evening I bought two VÄRDE wall cabinets 120x60. The corpus is finished... but how the heck do I get this thing to open the doors attached to it? Do I have to drill holes in the side walls? Or is there something pre-drilled as usual with Ikea furniture?
I got new tiles on the walls over the weekend and now I have to hang the cabinets so that my chaos in the living room clears up... please, please help me with my WS :)

Best regards

As I see it, the front screw fits into a pre-drilled hole and the other screws are chipboard screws that are supposed to be screwed directly into the wood. I don’t like doing that and prefer to drill in advance.

Hi. I thought that at first too. But the drilling template that came with the lifting devices for the door confuses me. And then there is the spacing of the holes in the illustration in the assembly instructions for the cabinet. There are three holes open towards the top and one more visible at the bottom. If I now insert this screw into the pre-made hole, then there is more space than in the pictures in the instructions for the cabinet. I know that the lifting devices :) for the doors also fit Faktum if you use them vertically. Don’t want to drill holes wrong :) too expensive :D and my husband will shoot me then. hehe

A drilling template, like with FAKTUM?

So on "page 16" it shows how to attach that thing there...

there are two big holes (seen from the front, behind them are 6 holes)... one is visible, the other not, because the arm is in front of it.

If I now attach the arm with the screw in the lower big hole, then there are four holes free above and none visible below.

I don't want to say that you are wrong, it just surprises me and I don't want to have useless, ugly holes afterwards.

There are two rows with four 5 mm holes in a row. The fitting is attached with a Euro screw in the front hole of the lower row. The next two holes in the side panel are then covered. The four other drillings of the fitting are located slightly below or above the horizontal 4-hole row. There are no holes in the side panel there. Therefore, the chipboard screws to be used must inevitably be screwed into the "hole-free" wood. For a 5 mm hole, the screws would also be too thin.

I think you won’t do anything wrong and your husband will not execute you. :)
