Hello,

after painting in our new building, we got a very strong texture on the walls. Our plasterer insists strongly that this comes from the paint and said that if we had diluted it to 30-50%, this would not have happened.

However, on the walls that are not yet painted, the sanding directions and marks are clearly visible. Although the walls feel very smooth when you run your hand over them, you can see two different materials without paint.

We would simply be interested in more opinions on this here from the forum. Attached are a few pictures.

Looked similar to mine. You have to sand it down and then possibly re-spackle. Several rounds. In the end, best with an orbital or hand sander. With an eccentric sander, there is a risk of leaving new marks. Or, and this is based on my experience the only exclusively good recommendation I now give: Sand once, then apply heavy painter's fleece. After that, painting is a breeze and the walls become smooth.

to me, this does not look like Q3, but is it still within the tolerance?

Are these the pictures of the walls not yet painted? If yes, that is not a Q3.

I suspect the first three pictures are after painting, the others before. As I said, for me it looked very similar when I hadn't sanded the first room yet. Although I had Q2, my walls also felt smooth. Only after the first coat did you see the grooves and those strange flakes. Sanding made it better, but it was still there. Two things improved the result: 1. Different paint with (higher?) dispersion content. The first paint I used was actually lime paint with dispersion content, but apparently lime paint has particles that are too heavy or something. So when I used pure dispersion paint, it went much better, and also dispersion silicate paint worked better, the result was more homogeneous. 2. Painter's fleece. In the ground floor, I then had painter's fleece with 150g/m² applied. After that, painting and even the wall mural were a dream!

To be a bit more specific, we used the color "caparol sylitol bio innenfarbe weiss," which is a good color according to various review sites. And the first three pictures are with paint and the last three still without paint.
