I have now contacted him directly, telling him that in the next email he should finally speak plainly or the matter is off the table. He has something to hide, I "threatened" the appraiser who would come anyway (no matter who buys it) and that he should rather tell the truth right away. He is a real estate consultant at the LBS, maybe he should ultimately be reported to his superior. I can't shake the suspicion that he is trying to deceive someone here.
