Hello the financing is approved and soon it will get serious. I am rather the anxious type and therefore often want to do many things correctly and be well informed. What should you pay attention to when buying a condo (new build)? Should additional insurances be taken out? The apartment will still be under construction for 2 years. Would you document the construction progress? I am very grateful for your advice.

Construction performance description and special requests. No, since you are buying through a developer. You are not building yourself. Officially, you are only allowed to enter when accepting the apartment. Talk to the developer. Have the acceptance done by a paid professional - in two years.

Oh okay, so that means if, for example, the underfloor heating is being installed, I am actually not allowed to enter to take photos?

In the classic property development scenario, you buy a piece of the apartment (according to the real estate agent and property developer regulations, I have assumed this as almost always with condominiums), similar to buying a piece of a car from VW. Even there, you are not allowed into the factory to take photos of how the component carrier is installed. As a rule, however, the developer usually lets you into the house (politely asking usually helps).

Thanks for the info. Yes, I will definitely ask. I would like to take photos of all the pipes... Thanks.
