Well, the recommendation is 30 years, that would be exactly the range and if it were my property where my children live, the electrical system would be important to me

You don’t get snapped at, you get corrected – some more factually than others.

A short circuit or fire occurs when the power is overstressed or the wiring is tampered with. That has nothing to do with modern electrical systems, which can also be 20 years old.
