Hello everyone,
This is my first experience with the forum. I'm not quite sure if this post is placed correctly here.
Situation: Last year we bought a terraced house from a developer. As usual, there were some difficulties here and there, but overall the construction went well.
Regarding the energy certificate, thermal insulation certificate, etc., it was quite difficult. The handover was in Dec. 2020 and we only received the documents in April 2021 after multiple follow-ups. From a phone call with the energy consultant we know that he did not supervise the construction on site due to Corona and relied on the statements of the construction management. (For example, he did not know about subsequent changes.)
Since communication was not one of the strengths of the construction management, we can roughly imagine how that went :)
We have some questions about the documents from the energy consultant and also suspect that some values are not correct.
My question: Is the developer obliged to answer my questions or did he fulfill his duty by creating and handing over the documents?
Note: We sent our questions blindly to the energy consultant. The answer was quite clear: He will not answer our questions and asked us not to contact him anymore.
Thank you very much for the help!
Best regards
