You often read that proper ventilation means opening all windows at least three times a day, airing out for ten minutes, etc. to get rid of moisture. Now, in our house (timber frame construction, everything dry, and windows with window rebate ventilation) we have a hygrometer in every room showing between 40 and 50 percent humidity. I believe I can skip the forced ventilation multiple times a day, right? It should be enough to do it once in the morning after sleeping and after showering or if there’s a smell of food somewhere, right?

Moisture that is not there does not need to be removed.

With you, the holes in the windows (window rebate ventilation) do the ventilation automatically.

That's why you should still air out sometimes or ^^

Keep an eye on the hygrometer and ventilate if necessary. Has the Controlled Residential Ventilation Brainwashing already gone this far?

Fresh air in, bad air out.
