Procedure for construction permit, excavation, base plate

Hello dear home builders !!
We have now received our building permit and next week the excavation will be done.
What is done after the excavation before the foundation slab is poured??
Do I need to pay attention to anything so that I don't forget anything or my excavator forgets to tell me.

According to the geotechnical report and the structural analysis, a frost protection layer should be installed and compacted, then the base pipes and the foundation slab must be laid. Your planum should be protected from moisture and not unnecessarily loosened.

if you work with a general contractor, he does all the work alone and independently. do not walk around in the gravel more than necessary (as the client, not at all). if you have an expert, he will look at the whole matter at the right time. before excavation comes soil replacement. excavation is simply a trench digging. it must be deep enough to ensure the frost protection of the house. (80cm deep without basement) after pouring the slab (i.e. filling the trench and the inner part with "cement") you can check the external dimensions to see if they match the contractually agreed framework. also measure once across, the slab dimension is usually included on the execution drawing.

If all else fails, the trench will be filled again and grass sown. :cool:
