Procedure for applying for renovation/modernization

Hello dear house building forum community,

Is the process/credit check the same if I am seeking construction financing, for example for a roof, as when I want to purchase a property? Of course, one will probably need fewer documents overall, that is clear. When taking out a large amount, does the bank get registered in the land register?
