Yes, the other side looks significantly worse, the paint has already peeled off completely there, we've had the house since August last year. I would like to cover it with some kind of metal sheet. What do you mean by not good, what costs would we have to expect then? I mean, just getting a ladder and painting isn't really an option, especially not for my height, I'm not that brave in that regard.

That's also something a painting company does. The sheet metal is not free either.

Yes, that is clear to me, but what if the wood is really damaged as well, in the worst case then the replacement.

these purlins already show black spots on the weather side, what would a complete renovation cost

But shouldn't the carpenter come instead? Because of the black color, it looks like something is already rotting there.
