In the end, it’s the wallet that decides. A good timber frame construction starts at 1500, so contrary to popular belief, it is not cheaper than solid construction. However, energetically there is a world of difference. Point 1. Use your brain: someone offering for 1100 cannot have the same as someone for 1500. No matter how tempting it sounds. Comparing that is difficult even for professionals. Years ago, there was a manufacturer who only pointed out in the fine print that VAT would be added to all prices (at that time 15%).
Wall construction next to the installation level: I always prefer the ventilated facade (also with plaster), if it really can’t be done differently, then also with wood fiber. Never that Styrofoam stuff.
Choose heavy insulation materials, good for summer heat protection
Oh, the list is already quite long. Don’t rush. Look at it calmly and think it over. If necessary, ask again
Regarding the installation level: if I’m going eco, then also in the installation level, whether with hemp or wood fiber, hardliners use flax.
And with an installation level you don’t lose any space, that’s what distinguishes the good from the really good
This time we took our time. This year nothing happens except collecting information and removing manufacturers from the selection. Thanks also for the wall construction. It’s incredible how many try to sell you Styrofoam (or whatever fancy name it is given).
What I simply liked about Kampa is that right from the start in the standard: an installation level and no Styrofoam. But with that, there are other "difficulties" with Kampa. So I am looking for possible alternatives.
