Hello everyone,

my building savings contract pointed out to me during our new build that the potential equalization for the grounding of the satellite system may not be laid together with the other electrical cables. The green-yellow cable now runs through our bathroom in a large cable bundle clipped together all the way down.

What do you say: Does the cable for the grounding of the satellite system have to be laid separately?
I have informed the electrician, who has done nothing about it. And now time is a bit pressing, because the plumbers are preparing the floor for the underfloor heating and the cables will soon be covered.

Best regards, Redsonic

Thank you. Is it possible to read this somewhere? Unfortunately, I haven't found anything on the net.

I’m going to step in here. Since I’m installing the satellite system myself, how exactly do I need to proceed? The connections and cables will be laid by the electrician up to the attic. I wanted to mount the satellite system on rafter holders, bring in four cables from the LNB, and attach them to a grounding block in the attic. From there, the cables would then be run further by the electrician. I think that’s correct so far. But now the equipotential bonding. Lay 16mm copper from the satellite into the utility room individually, and from the grounding block a copper cable to the satellite dish??? Is that correct? How exactly do I attach the copper material to the mast? Clamp?

Ok, but explained personally, it is usually more understandable.
