The topic of Liapor or expanded clay seems to have faded; is the construction method still current or is anyone currently building with it?

Flatulence aside, the system walls of FCN are primarily precast concrete elements. With all their advantages and disadvantages. I would be reluctant to have walls where I need a Hilti for every hole, but as a wooden house owner, it's easy for me to say.

When it comes to thermal insulation, they can certainly perform just as well as solid brick walls, if necessary with ETICS. Due to their mass, they are definitely advantageous in sound insulation, although it greatly depends on the absence of structural sound bridges. This, however, tends to reflect the skill of the craftsman more than the quality of the component.

: Both expanded clay and porous bricks are available in the form of walls built on the construction site or as completely prefabricated wall panels. Fashion would be a poor advisor when choosing the wall material. There is no philosopher's stone, but it is good to use the stone that the builder "knows by heart," as this provides the greatest possible "guarantee of success."
