Hello,
our agent (regarding the property) is really slow.
I have to say, there are some problems with the property where the current owners are involved and need to take initiative.
When I ask, I hardly get any answer. I usually get the response from the owner himself, who then makes me understand that he has already informed the agent a long time ago.

How would you proceed if you always have to chase her to get information from the owners? I mean, she gets a hefty commission for doing almost nothing.
Can you challenge her commission? After all, I do almost everything myself. Gather information, talk to and call the owners, obtain offers, conduct viewings alone, etc.
What is she asking money for or how does she justify it? That she gave me a printout of her offer from the internet?

Have you ever been in such a situation?

Well, a broker mediates. To earn their commission, the expression alone would have been enough (provided you also buy).

A good broker takes care of their clients, you seem to have gotten the bad kind and would have to take care of yourselves...

Hello,

as has already written, the broker (or the female broker) has rendered his original service to you. All other points fall under voluntary "service to the customer."

In my opinion, you will hardly have any possibility to reduce the commission. Just talk to the broker about the points you do not like – maybe he will adjust the commission as a gesture of goodwill... ;)

Best regards,

Dirk

The broker has already asserted his claim by putting it on the internet. Printing it out for you was already a service. Unfortunately, I have not met a broker where it went significantly better...

or do you wait until the contract between the owner and the broker expires and then buy the property without a broker?!

If the agent then finds out that the house has been bought, he will be there with the bill very quickly, as he can still prove that he was primarily responsible for the brokerage.
