Hello,

we have a small problem in the bathroom. The tilers were here and want to start laying the tiles. The shower area should be 120 x 120 cm in size, so a total of 4 tiles of 60 x 60. Unfortunately, it was found that the point drain is not exactly centered between the 4 tiles, and now the tilers said that diagonal cutting of the tiles is not possible because of this. Normally, the tiles are cut diagonally in the middle.

At the tile studio, they said that cutting is not a problem. So what is correct now? Is it really not possible because the drain is not exactly in the middle?

Of course it works, but it just doesn't look symmetrical. You won't be able to change the process anymore without considerable effort...

The answer from "xMisterDx" is correct! The required section only concerns the later appearance, but it is really no problem craftwise in its execution with ceramic tiles! ---------- Regards: KlaRa

That is a visual problem. It would bother me. The installer messed up the mistake. Remove the drain and have it relocated.

Cutting tiles is possible. It just doesn’t look perfect in the end.
