I live in a boom region, had been looking for a plot or a house for a long time. When I then see the prices on Immoscout etc., I often get really angry. Particularly, the following things bother me:
- A developer offers a very expensive ugly plot overpriced, but that is not enough: You even have to build an outrageously expensive house with him, so that the single-family house in a small village then costs almost 600,000 euros. "Living close to nature"
- Nearly dilapidated single-family houses with 90 square meters of living space from the 1960s are offered at prices for which you can get a new single-family house with 120 square meters with 100,000 euros more. "Lover's object for the craftsman family"
- "Bauernwartungsland" is sold at prices of 40 to 50% of the normal plot prices, a call to the city then results in nice hints like "nature reserve," "archaeological monuments," or "water protection area," or it is still designated for "agriculture" for a longer time.
- Naive private individuals who demand moon prices: renovated houses from the 1970s that cost more than a new building + plot. "Absolutely like-new gem" (with almost 50 years on their back)
- When 1000-inhabitant communities 100 kilometers away are defined as "[Einzugsgebiet München]" just because you can reach a train station in 30 minutes, whose trains are in Munich in 50 minutes.
Sometimes I really want to write to people that what they are doing is almost deception and rip-off. It seems as if many are waiting for the one "fool" who is willing to pay one and a half or twice the market value.
Just wanted to write it down... The gain in insight from this thread is certainly not very big.
