We now have to decide on a plot of land or can make 5 preferred choices. Not so easy. Actually, we would like one of the single-family house plots (No. 1-7). We have already given it some thought. My favorite is plot No. 4 because it is a corner plot with only two adjoining direct neighbors. Also, it has a south-facing garden and on the west side next to the house, when the evening sun shines, there is also the possibility to build a small terrace, etc. Is there anything I might have overlooked, something that is not so great there or better on another plot? At the moment, I would name my 5 wishes as follows: 1.) Plot No. 4 2.) Plot No. 5 3.) Plot No. 6 4.) Plot No. 7 5.) Plot No. 3

Duplexes are not my great love either. Did you notice the difference in roof shapes (gable roof 45 ± 3°)? Candidate 4 would also be my favorite, followed by candidate 3 with the East Garden feature and 5 and 6 (orientation like 4, but more neighbors). My last choice would be candidate 7, directly opposite the area for public needs (social purposes) next to the refugee accommodation. In the garden view direction of 5 and 6 there are additional gardens (or their privacy fences). 4 and 3 score points with their proximity to already developed neighboring plots.

Wow. 350 sqm for a detached single-family house. Plots 5 and 6 are, for example, about 16m wide. Subtracting 3m on each side leaves 10 meters of building width. Therefore, only plot 4 would be an option for me; it has over 400 sqm of land and you also get light from the west into the rooms. Plots 5, 6, 7 only get light from the south.

...and that only if the hut is 6m high. It will probably be less because the building will be somewhat higher.

Actually, I only see plot 4 as an option - for the reasons mentioned. In addition, you are probably more flexible with the house design/positioning, since you have more pleasant setback areas towards the street.

What you should consider, however, is that you have relatively a lot of adjacent sidewalk that you have to maintain and keep clear in winter. But that would be for me the lesser evil...
