According to the state building codes, setback areas must be kept clear in front of exterior walls. These setback areas must be located on the owner's property. The depth of the setback areas is determined by the height of the wall. The exterior walls are effectively folded outwards and form the setback area.
How does the situation look in this special case:

The property is not rectangular but has a special shape (green). The building (blue) triggers setback areas (red). The setback areas are entirely on the owner's property. However, the building corner has no setback to the property boundary. Is this permissible, or must the setback be maintained diagonally as well?
