Hello,

does anyone have a tip for affordable pleated blinds for a width greater than 1.50m ... which is usually the maximum. 1.65m are needed for a fixed glazing (window band) and if possible a mounting without drilling. Or would you also drill into the frame for installation?

Thanks!

There is certainly an interior decorator near you as well. They have a wide variety of [Plissees] and can advise you. Whether blackout, color, shape. Many things can also be seen in the exhibition. And depending on the model, the mounting is then determined.

Take a look at Rollo Rieper. They offer a Flexi blind among other options. For example, we currently have such a blind installed inside with a rotary knob and elsewhere one with a cord/rod. Depending on usage, the rotary knob is really great. In my opinion, 150cm width is the limit there. Of course, there are probably other providers with such options. We will probably do it the same way in the new building.

In the apartment we got ours from Rollo Rieper as well. Everything top notch. Our current ones are from Amazon. Depending on the provider, there are also some for your measurements. Personally, I would stay away from interior decorators. With a bit of patience, it's child's play. We once requested pleated blinds from one and a fly screen door from another. The pleated blinds were 250 EU including installation PER PIECE! and for the door they wanted nearly 900 net. Apparently by now enough people have two left hands so that such prices can be charged.

Anyway, the current meaning of the phrase "I am building a house" has completely changed in recent years, since "building a house yourself" used to mean 90% of the time that the builder (independently) was affected by calloused hands, back pain from heavy bags of cement, no free time, and much more, whereas today with general contractors, developers, or the like, it is something entirely different and largely excludes a similar physical strain on the builder.
Although I don't necessarily miss the partly almost health-damaging times when the motto was: "Long arms - short break!" I somehow wouldn't want to miss this experience either......

Probably also for this reason, there are all these ready-made solutions today, which unfortunately sometimes prevent one’s own thinking and researching, although nowadays, with the internet, you can inform yourself in many different ways to achieve special and often cheaply self-made results and to carry out the installation of simple solutions like here yourself.
