Hello everyone

I want to lay tiles in the living room and kitchen.
The floor size is about 50 m2, tile size 60x60.
Now I have a wooden floor in the living room and a concrete floor in the kitchen.
I want to lay the tiles without grout in the passage. Since I have two different subfloors, cracks will appear in the tile in the passage over time. I have heard that you must first use a mat as an underlay and then lay the tiles. But I don't know the system.
Does anyone know about this?

Thank you very much and best regards

The condition of the substrate is important. Does the wooden floor vibrate strongly? Is the wood oiled, waxed, or something else? What does without joint mean? Generally without joint? Or without expansion joint?

In general, such difficult substrates are decoupled with a decoupling fleece or a decoupling mat. Since you certainly want to keep the construction height of the floor as low as possible, I would recommend the fleece.

For such large tiles and especially for this application, you should also use the right adhesive. Definitely rely on the specialist trade; otherwise, it won't work in the long term!

For the installation of the fleece, a floor plan (sketch) would not be bad. Because it does not have to be done with fleece everywhere.

I am happy to give a few more tips, but I need more information.

Best regards
