Hi, I could do that from home in the evening, but it won't help, the room will stay as it is. The large sofa in that form is only there because we already have it and will keep using it for a few more years. Later it will be replaced by something more suitable, less bulky in the same corner.

The TV will get a swivel wall mount so that a direct view is always guaranteed, regardless of sofa type, size, or shape.

It is clear that the lighting must be set so that it also works independently of the sofa type.

I will post the version with a different sofa in the evening.

:

There will be dowels everywhere, but ceiling uplighters will remain only an absolute last resort.

Wall lights are planned to be dimmable via KNX. 4 pieces with 2 E27 bulbs each as uplighters for top and bottom with about 700-800lm should fit?

Yes, if it is 700 lumens per light source, then that is quite a lot. Even half of that should be enough for a living room in my opinion.

I find the new design already much more coherent. If you really don’t want/can’t do without that one ceiling light, just install something like the large Floalt LED panel from the Swedish furniture store. That covers quite a lot. It’s really bright for thorough cleaning and also nicely warm dimmed for cozier occasions. In my opinion, it also looks better than a ‘normal’ ceiling lamp.

I just looked at Floalt. That is exactly the kind of ceiling light that

Hi, yes the Floalt panel is exactly the type of ceiling light we had in mind. As flat as possible as a kind of panel.

I think I’ll try it first with wall lamps, but still make the outlet in the middle, and if it’s enough, I’ll just put the presence detector in the middle to cover the outlet.

Attached is the updated version with the intended sofa shape – but it’s only a rough approximation, based on what the software in the database allowed. It’s supposed to be significantly rounder and roughly 1:1 ratio. This results in better use of the wall and significantly more space and “air” in the middle.

I’d like to thank you all in advance for your suggestions. We will probably implement it like this with 4 wall and 2 ceiling outlets: dining table + potential ceiling panel, if necessary.
