Hello everyone!
We are currently in the single-family house planning phase, the corresponding thread can be found here: Two technical questions that are currently occupying us (besides a few other topics), which are more technical in nature - therefore separate from the existing topic:
1. Where could we place the outdoor unit of the air-water heat pump? The planner suggested the position right by the light well of the technical room. Technically certainly easy, but we unfortunately cannot imagine it right in front of the kitchen and right next to the entrance. One idea from us would be placing it on the garage (see red marking in the following image). The planner had some concerns regarding the routing of the pipes. How thick are these pipes? Is it not possible to simply lead them through the utility room light well? The alternative would be an air-water heat pump for indoor installation, but I have read about some disadvantages (especially limited to a few manufacturers).

2. A central controlled residential ventilation system is to be planned. We were told that 2 light wells in the technical room are necessary for this, one each for supply and exhaust air. After doing some reading, I can’t quite understand this; wouldn’t it be more common to lay either supply/exhaust pipes through the basement wall without planning an additional light well? Since these presumably have a fairly large diameter, routing through the utility room and its light well would probably not be very practical...
How would you place the outdoor unit of the air-water heat pump and the supply and exhaust air for the controlled residential ventilation? Thanks in advance for your support!
