Place a single-family house sensibly on the plot

Hello dear community,

I have two adjoining plots, both of the same size (sqm).

I have attached a plan of the plots.

Now my question to you:

How would you place a small single-family house?
Would you have the plots merged (if necessary) and plan the house over the middle plot boundary?

Or would you keep the plots separate and plan the house only on one plot, so that the second plot remains untouched?
If yes, how would you then position the single-family house on the plot? The house is planned with a garage or carport.

The planned house is not supposed to be big and should measure about 9.50m x 8m and be detached.

Well, if the narrowest side of the house is supposed to be at least 8 m wide, then the question actually doesn’t arise. Because if the 2nd plot is to be left free for that reason, so that it can perhaps be sold one day, then you will also have to maintain the 3 m boundary distance. And then your house cannot be at least 8 m wide, since the plots are only about 12 m wide.
